Pathfinder pairs are brokered partnerships between two schools where one school supports another to improve. Improvement impact on both schools is measured.  They are more intensive pairings of schools who are developing a specific area.
Main benefits of pathfinder partnerships are:
  • Being paired with a school that has current strength in a particular aspect that you have identified to improve;
  • To access funding to support the working in partnership in order to channel the impact to classroom level;
  • To build capacity, strengthen leadership and improve practice at all levels within the linked schools and to mutually benefit from sharing and creating effective practice;
  • To have access to the support of a Challenge Adviser who will act to support and challenge the partnership as required; and
  • To have access to other school partnerships in order to share effective practice in terms of securing impact from deeper partnership working.
