Professional Learning
Central South Consortium is delighted to present the regional professional learning offer in partnership with over forty schools in the region that are facilitating programmes as either a professional learning hub, a curriculum hub or as a lead practitioner.

This offer exemplifies the increasingly school led system of support which further develops and expands the Central South Wales Challenge philosophy of building capacity within schools to support each other. This professional learning offer is by no means exhaustive as it does not list the school-to-school opportunities that many schools offer and participate in as part of a SIG, Pathfinder and other arrangements.

An analysis of all schools’ school improvement plans has been conducted to ensure that all programmes align with regional needs. A significant amount of development is currently going into the programmes with facilitators researching practice in their own school and in other schools, inside and outside the region. Increasingly, hubs are working together to develop, facilitate and evaluate programmes.

We know that teachers are our biggest asset and, as a region, are looking to provide guidance, support, coaching and mentoring at the point of need. We want to foster leadership potential and facilitate learning for our future leaders. Therefore this professional learning offer reflects the professional learning continuum and an increasing number of curriculum areas.
We will continue to update the regional offer so that we can be responsive to the needs of schools and practitioners. Our website www.cscjes-cronfa.co.uk will be updated regularly and programmes can be booked online or by contacting businessdesk@cscjes.org.uk.
