CSCJES - Central South Consortium Joint Education Service

Vacancies

Welsh speaking External Verifier

We are in the process of planning our support for newly qualified teachers throughout their statutory induction process in the new financial year 2019 – 2020, and we have identified a system need that could provide one of the trained EVs in your school with an exciting professional learning opportunity.

We would like to secure the seconded services of a Welsh speaking External Verifier for one day per week in the first instance, based in The Valleys Innovation Centre, Abercynon (schools will be reimbursed for release at an agreed daily rate). This person would have QA responsibilities of all EVs in Welsh Medium schools and would also work strategically with the Appropriate Body and the Senior EV QA Lead in causes for concern and the development of Welsh Language induction support.

If you have a Welsh speaking colleague who is already a trained EV and whom you believe is ready for this development opportunity, please ask them to send an expression of interest to mandy.esseen@cscjes.org.uk with a brief summary of their aptitude and experiences that make them suitable for the role. We would like to secure this position as soon as possible and ideally, this person would be able to commence after the Easter holiday 2019.

Welsh speaking HLTA

We are in the process of planning the further development of the Teaching Assistant Learning Pathway (TALP) in the new financial year 2019 – 2020, and we have identified a system need that could provide one of the accredited HLTAs in your school with an exciting professional learning opportunity.

We would like to secure the seconded services of a Welsh speaking HLTA for one day per week in the first instance, based in The Valleys Innovation Centre, Abercynon (schools will be reimbursed salary costs). This person would work strategically with the TALP team at the Central South Consortium to develop Welsh language professional learning and assessment materials for TAs and HLTAs and to undertake Welsh language assessment and moderation of HLTA portfolios.

If you have a Welsh speaking colleague who already has their HLTA certificate and whom you believe is ready for this development opportunity, please ask them to send an expression of interest to mandy.esseen@cscjes.org.uk with a brief summary of their aptitude and experiences that make them suitable for the role. We would like to secure this position as soon as possible and ideally, this person would be able to commence after the Easter holiday 2019.
