Senior Lead for Curriculum Reform

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding senior lead for Curriculum reform.

2 Year fixed term or secondment Salary: Soulbury points 32 - 35 (£69,512 - £72,895)

Start Date: April 2019 or as soon after

Central South Consortium works closely with almost 400 schools to build a schools-led improvement model where practitioners at all levels are empowered and supported to improve their own schools and to share their expertise more widely across the system. This approach has led to a year-on-year improvement in learner outcomes which has seen schools in the region perform at above the national average at every phase for the first time.

We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a proven track record in successful school leadership to lead on Curriculum Reform and the National Model for Professional Learning

This role will be responsible for leading our work to support schools in the transition to Curriculum for Wales by increasing capacity across the system and ensuring a high-quality support and development offer which has a demonstrable impact on outcomes for all schools/practitioners. This role will also be responsible for leading on all aspects of the National Professional Learning model. Strong knowledge and experience of building effective collaborative networks is required as is a commitment to joint practice development.

Strategic Adviser for Expressive Arts / Humanities / Wellbeing

Strategic Adviser for Digital Education

2-year secondments to commence 1st April 2019 or as soon as possible.

We are seeking to appoint talented and experienced teachers to join our School Improvement Team as Strategic Adviser for Expressive Arts / Humanities / Well Being and Strategic Adviser for Digital Education. 

These posts will be required to work with Challenge Advisers, schools and Local Authorities to ensure the Central South region becomes an outstanding place for teaching, school leadership and pupils’ achievement, whilst supporting the development of school-led school to school working.

These posts will have oversight and responsibility for the development of excellent teaching and learning across Expressive Arts / Humanities / Well Being or Digital Education through the identification of strong practice, the use of our networks, school improvement groups and hubs and for the construction of differentiated and tailored support programmes to meet the needs of all schools whilst ensuring these are available swiftly and effectively to meet schools’ needs.   Applications are welcome from candidates who are excellent teachers with a proven track record in raising standards.  Candidates must also be aware of national, CSC, Local Authority and school priorities and what these imply for developing the workforce in schools at all levels.   Please seek permission of your Headteacher before applying for these posts.
